To meet large quantity demands, box store
trees are typically cut and stock piled in early to mid November making
it difficult to maintain freshness though Christmas. At Hayes Farms we
cut our trees mere days before shipping into to South Florida. This
allows us to preserve freshness until the last minute, guaranteeing a
healthy tree through Christmas Day.
Refrigerated Shipping
Unlike the box stores who use the
cheaper flatbed method of shipping, Hayes Farms hauls all trees in
enclosed, refrigerated trailers. This prevents humidity from forming and
drying out the trees on the 14 hour drive South.
